Seen It!
Cadillac Records

Cadillac RecordsThis past Saturday the family and I decided to just have a family day were we just hung out and enjoyed each others' company. This doesn't happen too often where mama comes along for the outing, but this particular time she did. My sister suggested that we see a movie and it just so happened that Cadillac Records was out. This is a biographical story about the founder and artists of Chess Records on the south side of Chicago. It gives credit to the true creators of rock and roll.

I gonna be honest. It wasn't the best movie in the world, but like any other ... it had some great parts. My guy Jeffery Wright who played Muddy Waters did an excellent job. This man has been underrated for a long. I'm glad to see that he's finally getting some time to shine, because it's long over due. Beyonce's performance as Etta James was good. I can tell that she's grown since her last movie. Columbus Short who played Little Walter, Gabrielle Union who played Gretta Wade, Eamonn Walker who played Howlin' Wolf, and Mos Def who played Chuck Berry, didn't have big parts, but they stole the show whenever they were on the screen. The most believable of the all was Adrien Brody who played Leonard Chess. Over all, Cadillac Records was a cool movie.
