It's Official ...

Barack Obama is the United States of America's 44th President!!

I am so happy right now!! When the announcement came that Barack had won, I was asleep ((like I had stated I wasn't going to watch the news every second to see who was ahead)) and everyone was calling my phone screaming and shouting in celebration. I think that every black person in America ,whether they were Democrats or not, was very happy that Barack won on Tuesday. I didn't post anything yesterday, because I was just letting it all sink in. A black man is the President of the United States!! Nobody thought that this day would happen, but it did. Even now I don't really know what to say. I'm speechless. Barack Obama has inspired so many people with just his courage alone to even run in the presidential race, and then to win on top of it. I think these are just the kinds of images that the young, black, children of America need to see. To be able to have role models like Barack and Michelle, is going to do wonders for the children of this generation. I'm and truly inspired by everything that has taken place so far. Like Martha Stewart would say, "This is definitely a good thing."
