Remembering September 11, 2001

Today marks the seventh anniversary of the September 11th attacks (a series of coordinated suicide attacks by Islamic extremists belonging to the al-Qaeda movement upon the United States on September 11, 2001).

I remember just sitting in class and crying as I watched the attacks over and over on the news. At first everyone thought that it was some kind of movie scene. "This can't be real," is what everyone in my AFJROTC class was saying, but it was real, and it changed America forever.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has experienced any type of loss in connection with these tragic events.
