A Great Moment in History

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is the physical manifestation of everything that our ancestors and the leaders of the civil rights' movement fought and died for in our history.

Today was a glorious day in our nations' history, it marked the 45th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King's 'I Have A Dream' speech, and Barack Obama accepted the nomination from the Democratic Party for the presidency. I hope everyone was able to watch the ground breaking speech of the very first African American has ever been nominated as a presidential candidate for a major political party.

I'm just so full of pride right now. I can't even find the words to describe this feeling. I know Dr. Martin Luther King and Malcom X are smiling, and all of our unsung heroes of the civil rights era have stood up to take notice of this moment. I thank GOD that I was able to witness this time in history.
